Let me ask? What is up with these Izzy centered story lines. If they are going to do one then be consistent. Where is her daughter? What happened there? In and out in one episode. That is stupid.
Plus, what was with her hair yesterday and pink lipstick! She looked trailer trash. Plus, a little overkill on having every patient who encounters George or Izzie mentioning something about staying together, or "the wife always knows". I think one of the junior writers put that in. Definitely too much. But what did they do with George and Izzie? George is transferring? Why? Because he wants to be with Izzie,or because he wants to be with Callie? Not clear. Plus, where is George's interaction with Callie?
The Meredith/Derrick thing is an interesting story, but poorly written. Their conversations were stupid. I am not convinced that he is refocusing on the chief of staff position over Meredith. This story line is not being written well. Derrick is whispering to Meredith that he notices that she didn't swim when she could. He knows she gave up. But he doesn't ask why - he just states that he doesn't know if he wants to breathe for her. I get the theme of this story line: First Derrick meets Meredith at which time he finds her a breath of fresh air and a reason for living. Then they are together and she tries to kill herself, which is essentially telling him that he is not reason enough for her to live. So he is faced with not being good enough for Chief of Surgery and not good enough for the one he loves. I get that. But get in her face Derrick. Ask her. Force her to tell you why.
Derrick had enough confidence to ask Richard why he was not supporting him for Chief,to which Richard superimposes his life's misery on Derrick and tells him he is saving him the Loss of his life, basically. Derrick gets mad at this and basically tells Richard to live up to his word.
The thing is waht we do know from Meredith's trip to the netherworld was that she did want to come back, probably only for Derrick. Thus, this is a conversation that needs to take place between the two of them. I hope they force Meredith to stand up and tell the truth, get the strength to fight for what she wants. But this time, she is going to have to show Derrick that she is fighting for him. That will make him turn around and feel that at least in one area of his lfe- he is worth something to someone, valued. That is a universal theme. It just needs to be brought out more.
Addison: I am happy that Addison is leaving (I love her and can't wait for her show), and by that I mean, I loved her looking at the Hospital as she left, thinking to herself "what do I need with this place anymore, what is here for me?" One look said it all.
Richard: Well, I thought they were going to either have him step up to the plate and do a great surgery and think to himself that he should stay or , in teh alternative, have him do the surgery and still think about what he lost. He did of course warn Miranda about what she was doing, and could lose, but his resolve was not forthcoming last night. He needs something to live for. They should have focused on that more.

I love Izzie. Izzie rocks!! She finally figured out she loves George. Yes, she's flawed and wears pink lipstick but I still love her and I am routing for her! Signed, Izzie's Defender
PS - I can not be less interested in watching the Grey's spinoff.
