I LOVE CHRISTINA. I HATE IZZIE (One is getting a life- One Needs a Life)

Why doesn't Meredith speak? I don't understand why she never says anything. Is it realistic for a man to pour his heart out to her and she says nothing? It isn't. I understand that Meredith is dark and twisty and never had a great relationship, but couldn't she have said "I ddon't know," or even start to ssay something but have her fail. Her non-answers are strange.

I am starting not to care about her and McDreamy. I care about them separately, but not together. She doesn't deserve him. Their story line is a do-si-do. She tries to drown herself, she comes back somewhat rejuvinated, he questions whether he can "breathe for her", she reverts back to her friends because she doesn't know how to speal or get in his face or say anything, then he comes and tells her she is the love of his life (where did that come from), and she says nothing. Weird.

Next season, why don't we have these two people rebuild themselves? Make them worthy of each other. Now they are not. But playing games with new love interests will only serve well if they learn something. But please don't play the "Moonlighting Game" where you parade these folks around. You can take the step and have them have a relationship. I would much rather see them in a relationship and struggling or learning about each other than the break-up/get to gether dance. Be innovative.

Callie and George and Izzie. I dislike Izzie, aways have-always will. When she speaks and tries to be earnest I am turned off. I don't care what she thinks or feels. She is self-rigtheous and has never learned a lesson in her life. Turn her around.

Callie needs to realize what is going on with George and moreover, that even if she wins the battle with Izzie, does she really want what's in front of her.

Christina, Christina. Sandra is the best actress. This is why she gets paid the big bucks. She puts everyone to shame.

Her scenes were phenominal. I am sad that she is not with Burke but I had wanted him to realize for so long what sacrifices she was making.

I disagree with Shonda that Christina's journey was to try and have it all. She did not want it all. Hardly. She wanted to make Burke happy. She already had it all with surgery. For her, that is eeverything. I can't wait to see what happens with her next season.

Love the New Show- Real to the Core

loved the new show and the cast of characters. The writing is more realistic- all flawed characters, but really flawed and realistic. It made the Grey's folks look like their issues are intellectual at best (except for meredith and her dad- I will get to that in a second).

I thought the juxtaposition of the two shows was not done well. I would have put Grey's first and then the new show. I didn't like the back and forth because I felt that the tone of the two shows was different and actually the lighting of the shows was different with the Grey' set in grayish darker color and the LA one in a much brighter set. So the back and forth was weird. You couldn't follow the story enough.

The new show:

I loved the characters. I love Tim Daly. I love the black dude and I love Cooper. The shrink - she was okay but a bit annoying. Addision defintely brought a little more glamour to the place. I like the issues. A husband admitting that he just woke up one day and said no more- for no reason, a wife who wanted to let loose instead of play by the books, a gyno who admitted his fear of rejection and is just trying to figure out what to do and a therapist that has more hang-up than her patients. How she can easily diagnose Tim and then not see her own problems- that is cool. That is why I like the characters. I think it will be interesting to see where the show goes. I like that the characters are intertwined by their work place but each has their own struggle. I also loved FINALLY, some frakin male characters that speak like men and don't just prance around like pretty faces. I loved that. I just wanted to see them, hear them, listen to what they had to say. You never see that on Grey's enough. How long have I been saying can we see Derrick interact with men for more than 10 seconds. So, I am looking forward to that instead of female drama all the time.

The show will have to find its balance but it is cool.

Greys:

I lOVED Meredith's dad just hitting her. His response to the news of his wife's death was the best response I have ever seen on TV. That guy deserves a reward. He did put his trust in Meredith who kept saying it was nothing. It was great.

Deriick? I don't know what they are doing. The writing there is bad - bad. Pick a direction people and go with it. He says nothing to 'confession' about her change. For someone who is so allegedly upset by her checking out, he says nothing in response, but goes over to her house. Then scenes from next week - he hits on someone new? Please!

Izzy and George- you know I don't care about her - so I don't care what she is doing. I do wonder if these scenes were shot after she mouthed off to the press about her salary because she hasn't done anything in the episode except prance around the hospital and talk to George in the elevator. I still don't see how friends turned into lovers. I would like to see that more. One drunken night doesn't cut it.

Callie: I understand she may not find out for a while about George. But I would have liked to have seen George actually speak to Burke or anyone about his thoughts on marriage. Really, he loves two people. I see his love for Izzy but not Callie- I haven't seen that for episodes. All we know is he married her on a whim to get over his dad. There is nothing to suggest that he still loves his wife, nothing. He did say he does not believe in divorce- which would explain his problem except he said he loved Callie- I don't buy it. I also don't buy why he loves Izzy. He was friends with her and was attracted to the "supermodel", but again don't get the love part.

Burke and Christina: I love Burke but where is his compromise for Christina? Why are they just painting her as the non-traditionalist and the "bad" one. She has remained true to herself. Did you really believe it when Burke said "he thought she was joking about now white dress." That was inconsistent with what he does know about her. Bad writing. He could have said that he wanted it. But I would like to see him either compromise or get a talking to by Christina who has tried to make him happy and has found her own happiness with him.

I don't know what Miranda is doing lately but adding comedy to the scenes. Need more from her soon.

I just think the writers have gotten off their game and could say so mucb more and they don't.

Thoughts?
